All of our user accounts are a member of the domain users group with no admin rights.Panda USB Vaccine free allows users to vaccinate their PCs in order to disable AutoRun completely so that no program from any USB/CD/DVD drive (regardless of whether they have been previously vaccinated or not) can auto-execute. The only way I get it to recognize that a USB flash drive is connected to the computer is that the user account has to be a member of the domain administrators group. It doesn’t even recognize that one has been connected to the computer. However the program will run this way but it will not auto vaccinate a USB flash drive when it is connected. I have also tried doing it as a login script assigned to the user in the GP and also a script assigned to the user in the Windows account section (this one is not via a GP but as the logon script in the profile tab of the user account). It appears that the start script is waiting for the USBVaccine.exe program to close before it continues and doesn’t like it to stay running. When I times out it appears to kill the program because when I then login to the computer it is not running. If I create the batch file with the command line and have a GPO run it as a start script assigned to the machine, it just seats there during start saying “Running start script…” and eventually times out. I’m trying to run the USBVaccine.exe file from a network share using a script so I don’t have to install the software on each computer and it can be rolled out faster.
